Help Children Through Music

Posted December 13th, 2006 under Uncategorized | No Comments »

rosettalifeThesongrooms.org has been constructed by the arts charity Rosetta Life as a ground-breaking online music-making project which enables marginalised young people with terminal illness to make music.Top professional musicians in South Africa, Zimbabwe and the UK are visiting hospices and creating new songs with the children there. Children visiting thesongrooms.org can listen to these songs as their composers intended, or to each component instrumental or vocal stem in isolation. They can then mix the component tracks from all the different songs together, or add their own lyrics and vocals, to make unique pieces of their own.

The similarities with U-MYX meant we are very proud to help such a worthwhile cause. You can help the children too by getting two of the songs they’ve already done: I Want To and Saz Ebabaho. All the proceeds will go to Rosetta Life to continue their work. And there will be more U-MYX music to come from these children with very special guests, so thank you.
