U-MYX is spreading its wings further into the world of user generated content with a new project with Apple Computers and EMI Records.Fans of Moby are being encouraged to mix a version of his current single New York New York, and then take to the streets to film an exclusive video for their mix of the track.

Once you’ve made a masterpiece, you can start thinking about how to visualise it. Its about ideas, rather than being Speilbergs Niece, so if you’ve only got a mobile phone camera don’t feel restricted. Finished videos should be uploaded to the Moby Video Microsite over at www.u-myx.com/moby

The best video, as judged by Moby himself, gets 2 flights to New York and a day chilling with the man himself. If you are using Mac OSX you will have iMovie at your disposal, Windows XP Users will be able to use Microsoft Movie Maker. Of course, if you want to take things really seriously you could think about one of Apple’s Final Cut Studio software packages.
