U-MYX Management Team

Olly Barnes, CEO and Founder:

Olly is the creative force behind U-MYX product development and design, and is also responsible for content and distribution partnerships. Prior to founding U-MYX, Olly was an active writer and producer with a number of bands, and worked for an AIM listed online startup for the creative industries, E-Media-C.

Harry Richardson, CTO:

Harry is the Technical Director of U-MYX and is responsible for the implementation of all aspects of U-MYX technology. A Cambridge Computer Science graduate, Harry has been a professional programmer for seventeen years, specialising in audio synthesis and processing, cryptography and network security. Harry spent five years in Silicon Valley, working on the SecureVantage platform - a network security tool developed by Securify Inc, used by the US military and investment banks.

Alex Hoye, acting Chief Financial Officer/Chief Strategy Officer:

Before joining U-MYX in 2008 to propel its strategic and financing operations, Alex has acted as angel investor (and continues to do so) , principal or mentor in internet-based and consumer brand projects including Seedcamp, where he is chairman of the advisory board, home repair marketplace MyBuilder.com and Faction Skis. He co-founded GoIndustry plc from the proverbial napkin and led it to become a publicly-listed, 17-country, $100M market cap industry leader.

Stephanie Bouchet, acting Head of Marketing:

Stephanie brings to U-MYX a broad range of marketing expertise (branding, research, planning, online, guerrilla and more importantly product marketing) acquired in world beating start-ups such as Joost, where she was heading the global marketing team and Skype, where she was Head of product marketing driving download to the roof and monetizing Skype userbase. She also has experience working for blue chip corporations, such as Warner Bros and is a prominent member of the European entrepreneurship community, acting as mentor, advisor and speaker.

Jeremy Marsh, Chairman:

Jeremy has been in the Music business since 1983. Having served as MD at Virgin, Warner and RCA, he was then President of BMG until 2000 and attended Harvard Business school (AMP 153). In addition to owning JML, an artist management and publishing company, he is Vice-chairman of the charity; Nordoff-Robbins Music therapy.

U-MYX Investors/Board Members

Charles Stonehill:

Charles has had a 26 year career in investment banking, including being Head of European Equities and Equity Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley International, and Head of Investment Banking for Credit Suisse First Boston in the Americas. He is currently a Non-executive Director of the London Metal Exchange and chairman of Panmure Gordon, a leading corporate and institutional stockbroker.

Neil Mendoza:

Neil Mendoza is an entrepreneur who founded Forward Publishing, a customer relationship management company, recently sold to the WPP Advertisng Group. He is also a director and major shareholder in other companies including Hammer Films (the famous horror film company), Cross Asset Management (a hedge fund) and Regent Capital (an investment sales company).

Joss Fisher:

Joss Fisher is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston, and leads all Hong Kong Equity sales. Joss was the first investor in U-MYX.
